CaviFlow® inline modules - RAPTECH provides an innovative solution for blending and homogenizing low-emission fuels. The technology is designed for
alternative marine fuels,
refineries and industrial plants.
The analysis of a blend of HFO and biodiesel using CaviFlow® cavitation technology showed clear potential for optimization:
- Improvement in viscosity by 13.3 % at 50 °C
- Reduction in fuel consumption by around 4%
- Approximately 1.2 tons of fuel savings for 55,000 DWT MR tankers
CaviFlow® is a hydrodynamic cavitation module for continuous homogenization, emulsification and stabilization of liquids in industrial blending processes. The fuel technology is integrated directly into pipes, making it particularly suitable for high throughputs and viscous media. In contrast to agitators or tank mixers, homogenization with
CaviFlow® takes place completely inline, without additional process steps or dwell times. Compared to ultrasonic homogenizers,
CaviFlow® works without external sources and is therefore scalable, low-maintenance and suitable for high industrial throughputs.
