Homogenization describes the process in which two or more liquids are processed into a uniform mixture so that all components are evenly distributed. The aim is to completely avoid visible separations or phase boundaries and to produce a consistently homogeneous substance. Differences in density, concentration or particle size are reduced to such an extent that the mixture appears visually and physically uniform.

Technically, homogenization is often carried out using high pressure, intensive shearing or ultrasonic energy. Clean and efficient combustion

Homogenize HFO

Homogenizing heavy fuel oil (HFO) is a crucial step in ensuring optimum combustion and therefore efficient, low-residue operation. The targeted crushing and even distribution of the fuel droplets ensures that all hydrocarbon molecules evaporate completely and mix efficiently with oxygen. This allows combustion to take place completely within a fraction of a second - without residues or harmful by-products.

A homogenized HFO shows significantly fewer deposits, as smaller and more evenly distributed droplets create the conditions for almost complete combustion.
