The ability to homogenize heavy fuel oil for maritime applications and plants is a central component of modern industrial oil processing and refinery technology. This form of heavy fuel oil homogenization not only improves the phase consistency, but also significantly optimizes the combustion properties of the HFO - with a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of up to 25%.

Targeted bunker fuel homogenization using acoustically generated microflows processes the HFO in such a way that all components are evenly distributed. Homogenizing heavy fuel oil with UADA cavitation technology enables a particularly fine particle distribution in the range of 5-10 micrometres. The uniform dispersion in the homogenized heavy fuel oil significantly improves the flame pattern and combustion temperature.
